Dr. Vincent Villa has participated in the development of new surgical techniques, which are widely used, since he participated in the training of numerous foreign surgeons. He holds the post-graduate title of specialist in orthopedic surgery and traumatology, member of the FMH. With a lot of experience in orthopedic surgery, Doctor Villa set down his suitcases on the shores of Lake Neuchâtel in 2014. He then opens his consultation, located at the Hôpital de la Providence, to receive, advise, listen and treat his patients, he is now also at Alma clinic in Geneva.
Always passionate about medicine and a lover of mechanics, orthopedic surgery quickly became hisobvious choice. At the young age of twelve, his future jobbed been chosen. A vocation which comes to him directly from his father, a rheumatologist, whom he has never questioned.
Innovative and promising surgery
Specialist in orthopedic surgery, he has more specifically developed his activity around orthopedic surgery of the hip, knee, ankle and foot. He was also part of one of the medical centers of the International Football Association (FIFA), dedicated to the surgery of top athletes.
Obsessed by minimally invasive surgery, he promotes innovative and promising techniques, allowing faster postoperative recovery than the so-called "traditional" interventions.
A humanist approach
Doctor Villa aims to give a more human dimension to his profession. Transparency and communication are his watchwords. Thanks to an approach based on trust and listening, he promotes personalized discussions with each of his patients, in order to find the most suitable solutions to their problems, with or without surgery.
His goal is also to offer a showcase to make his practice as accessible as possible to everyone: whether it is the latest techniques developed in surgery or rapid recovery.
Author of numerous scientific publications and book chapters, he regularly participates in conferences in international congresses.
In Switzerland, he holds the post-graduate title of orthopedic surgery and musculoskeletal trauma and is a member of the Federation of Swiss Doctors (FMH). He is also treasurer of the International Association of Orthopedics Alumni of National Association (IAORANA-ORTHO) and member of the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee surgery and Orthopedic Sport Medecine (ISAKOS), of the French Society of Orthopedic and Trauma Surgery ( SOFCOT), the Neuchâteloise Society of Medicine (SNM), the French Society of Arthroscopy (SFA), the European Federation of National Associations of Orthopedics and Traumatology (EFORT).
